6,5/10
I must admit I was pretty excited to taste this Riesling from Cappadocia.
Named from the winemaker’s daughter, this wine is a limited production.
Hence the price : 1210 TL now.
Each bottle is numbered.
This Riesling was oaked processed which is quite seldom. It was fermented and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
Let’s have a sip!
On the nose, it’s rather delicate. It displays aromas of lime leaf, jasmine and a slight touch of honey.
No aromas of petrol.
On the palate, medium acidity, slippery texture.
Not much vibrancy.
Flavours of spiced apples and honeyed white peach.
The after taste is kind of short.
After 3 years in Germany tasting great wines and among them a lot of Riesling, I can honestly say that I’m not thrilled …
