It was so exciting to taste the wines of this quite new winery located in Urla.

I had heard a lot of good things about this wonderful turco-Chilean couple, Ceylan Ertörer and Juan Pablo Diaz Leon.

Founded only in 2018, the history of their family and ancestors is so interesting and a real inspiration for many.

But let’s taste this 2023 Emir!

The grapes used here come from Cappadocia. Coming from volcanic soils, you’ll get the typical saltiness and minerality, especially in the end.

The colour is straw yellow.

On the nose, some fresh aromas of lemon, pineapple and honeysuckle.

It’s a full-bodied, bright and lively kind of Emir. It has a high acidity and a lot of strength.

Nevertheless it’s kind of smooth.

I detected flavours of green apple, white pear and rose as well.

The finish is long and sapid.

I can imagine having some poultry with this wine.

A first class Emir wine. 8,5/10
