Grown in the north of Kaz mountains in Bayramiç (Çanakkale)
65+ year-old vines
Earlier harvest (sept. 2nd) due to one of the hottest and driest growing seasons ever.
Fermentation in stainless steel tank at 18•C.
Aged on its lees for 3 months with occasional bâtonnage.
Light yellow colour with a green hue.
Complex aromatic nose with herbal (grass) notes and earthy (flint) undertones.
On the palate,very dense, concentrated. Perfectly balanced with a lot of freshness. Texture is soft, slightly oily.
Floral (hawthorn), herbal (dill) flavours as well as citrus (lemon) notes. Even a hint of asparagus.
Savoury and long finish.
Wine pairing : Aegean vegetable dishes, Lakerda, sea bream, crab, shrimps.
Needless to say, I particularly enjoyed this Old Vines Sıdalan.
Such freshness and complexity despite harsh weather conditions for this vintage! Amazing job! 9/10
