Paşaeli Sıdalan 2024 Old Vines

14,90€ at Istanbul airport

Produced in limited quantities

Grown in the north of Kaz mountains in Bayramiç (Çanakkale)

65+ year-old vines

Earlier harvest (sept. 2nd) due to one of the hottest and driest growing seasons ever.

Fermentation in stainless steel tank at 18•C.

Aged on its lees for 3 months with occasional bâtonnage.

Light yellow colour with a green hue.

Complex aromatic nose with herbal (grass) notes and earthy (flint) undertones.

On the palate, very dense, concentrated. Perfectly balanced with a lot of freshness. Texture is soft, slightly oily.

Floral (hawthorn), herbal (dill) flavours as well as citrus (lemon) notes. Even a hint of asparagus.

Savoury and long finish.

Wine pairing : Aegean vegetable dishes, Lakerda, sea bream, crab, shrimps.

Needless to say, I particularly enjoyed this Old Vines Sıdalan.

Such freshness and complexity despite harsh weather conditions for this vintage! Amazing job! 9/10
