Suvla Kınalı Yapıncak 2012 : To be honest, at that price (179 TL), I was expecting much better. It’s totally drinkable of course but it lacks finesse and elegance. It’s very fruity with aromas of apples and red fruits and extremely bubbly… very big bubbles… like in a jacuzzi… it was not bad with these salmon eggs from the Dardanelles..it was all Turkish but not on the level of a French champagne traditional method nor on the level of Russian salmon eggs… anyway big respect for the big work. Suvla is a brand I really like and I’m sure they’ll do better with this Turkish sparkling wine made of a very interesting local grape called Kınalı Yapıncak.
