Arda Shiraz rosé 2017 : it’s the first time I’m drinking a bottle of wine produced by this boutique winery located in Thrace. I like the design on the bottle but the wine itself is definitely not my kind of rosé. I’m not sure that Shiraz or Syrah by itself can make a good rosé. It is used though in the Rhône valley to make refreshing and round summer rosé wine. Even French Tavel is a Syrah. So here it’s really a matter of taste. Maybe you will like its red fruit taste (raspberry, strawberry and cherry). There are some hints of liquorice and menthol in the short finish. It’s refreshing. Can be good with some white meat or as an aperitif. But this wine won’t be in my list of favourite Turkish rosé wines.
