Gürbüz Gaziköy 2016 Sauvignon Blanc

Points : 7/10

Price : 42,50 TL at Rind

A big surprise :

On the nose, grapefruit, lime, white peach, fresh bread and chalk aromas.

It’s fruity and with high acidity. it’s also quite mineral and slightly oily.

In the mouth, it has flavours of gooseberry, green melon, kiwi and a bit of butter.

It has bitter almond and dill in the medium long finish.

I wasn’t expecting such a complex wine for a quite cheap price.

I’d say it’s one of the bargain of the year. Available only at Rind (Kadıköy) from what I know. It’s a pity if you live on the European side.

It should pair well with chicken, white fish, herb sauces, goat cheese…
