Have I already told you that Öküzgözü is one of my favourite Turkish grapes? This bottle shows that you can get a quite complexe red wine without breaking the bank.
It’s fruity with aromas of black fruits ,chocolate, cherry, grenade and eucalyptus.
It’s really aromatic with a good acidity, soft tannins and on the palate it’s slightly oaky.
The texture is savoury with flavours of black cherry, black raspberry, green pepper, cloves and mint in the medium long finish.
Very enjoyable with some pasta or pizza.
