Suvla is launching a new vintage of Viognier.

The 2018 has a floral, tangerine and exotic nose. Nothing exuberant.

Not extremely weighty, it’s a medium bodied wine.

On the palate, you will notice flavours of fleshy stone fruits (peach and apricot), honeysuckle, roasted peanuts and mango for the exotic touch.

The finish is medium long and a bit creamy with notes of almond.

A clean and elegant Viognier, if not among the best in Turkey, it still delivers what you would expect from such a classy French grape.

It was perfect with a roasted chicken.
