That’s an amazing wine we have here. This Merlot was raised 16 months in French oak without filtering. This is the first and only single vineyard and 100% Merlot bottling for Chamlija. 2016 is known to be the best vintage at the winery. Well, 2019 seems to be exceptional too from what I’ve heard.

On the nose, stunningly ripe aromas of dark fruits like plum, cherry, raspberry but also some sweet spices and tobacco.

This Merlot is powerful and persistant yet smooth and round.

The palate has ripe and fruity flavours of dark fruits again with notes of oak like earth, tobacco and spices. A very rich wine with a velvety texture.
