Produced by the famous (in Turkey but also in the States) Urla winery, this Bordeaux blend-wanna-be is not what you’d think but is quite enjoyable. First, you’ll be surprised by the soft tannins and the fruity note of confectionary red fruits… Wasn’t it supposed to be a kind of Bordeaux blend? Then when you read the composition : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc… and Syrah! At first it sounds peculiar but to be honest it’s a good mix. That makes a very enjoyable and not complicated wine. Perfect with some grilled chicken or a bistecca alla Florentina… It’s strange, I know, but it reminds me some nice Chianti Classico… Although it’s not San Giovese… Still a bit expensive for this level.
