Chamlija Nev’i Şahsına Münhasır, Sui Generis, 2015, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc

Points : 9/10

Price : 160 TL at Macro center but 125 TL at the winery

This is not by coincidence that I chose the personnage with a moustache on that bottle as my logo. This Bordeaux blend made of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is one of my favourite Turkish red wines.

The nose is quite aromatic and very slightly oaky. You can feel some aromatic herbs, leather notes and dark fruits. The palate is dense with beautiful tannins. Flavours are complex with cassis, black cherry, black currant, tobacco and spicy hints in the long finish.

Despite its young age this beautiful wine is immediately drinkable. It’s juicy and full of sensuality.

A very good Bordeaux style to pair with grilled red meat but also with some juicy organic baked chicken like the other day.
