Kavaklidere Côtes d’Avanos 2016 Sauvignon Blanc : I guess I’ve ignored this Sauvignon Blanc from Kavaklidere for too much time now and it’s about time to give justice to this wine. I’ve tasted it a few times and was unlucky with it. Broken wine, not cold enough and definitely too expensive for what you get, I thought… I still think it’s not the best Sauvignon Blanc in Turkey and that it’s overpriced (the most expensive one in Turkey above 100 TL) but I must admit it’s a pretty good one. The nose has beautiful tropical fruit and lemon notes while the palate has a very good acidity and a quite long finish with flavours of white lemon and Jasmin. A quite classy wine indeed!
