Attention please! This Chamlija Chardonnay is one of the few wines I’ve really been waiting for!!!!
Let’s taste it together!
This wine has a bright straw colour embellished by green lights.
The nose delivers some aromas of peach, pear and yellow apple. It also offers some floral hints of acacia. It’s very rich and balanced. Oak is present too but it’s not overwhelming.
The mouth is round with a zesty kick. This lively acidity gives some good balance to the oaky creamy texture. It’s very pure and very fruity.
There’s a delicious wealth of fruits on the palate with flavours of stone fruits, white flowers and hazelnut.
The finish is long and mineral with slightly salty aftertaste.
It’s chalky with a zest of lemon.
It’s a pure and intense Chardonnay reminding a French Chablis 1er cru.
I guess it’s the best Chardonnay I’ve ever had in Turkey.
Lots of meals could pair with this wine : oysters fine de Claire, mushroom risotto, white meat like some veal or crab, gambas or grilled lobster, urchins would be nice too and of course some fatty sorts of fish.
