Let’s be clear : it’s one of the best, maybe even the best Cabernet Franc, mono cépage, I had in Turkey.
The deep purple colour is beautiful and very appealing.
Although quite young, it has ripe and rich aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cocoa, leather, sweet spices and a hint of chalky dry gravel.
Tannins are quite high and the acidity is medium high. It has a high concentration of fruits with a meaty texture.
It’s youthful and velvety with a perfect balance between tannins and oak.
On the palate you get black fruits, chocolate, mocha and cinnamon.
The finish is rich and endless.
Decanting this wine is mandatory as it will simmer down Cabernet Franc’s natural spiciness and it will taste softer and even more rich.
