Points : 8,25
Price : Bought at the Sevilen wine shop near Tekirdağ for 85 TL. (Almost 50% less than in wine shops in Istanbul)
The Sevilen 900 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels and a further 12 months in the bottle.
Black and red fruit, sweet spice and vanilla aromas.
Full bodied, concentrated, soft tannins, earthy and mineral on the palate. The high alcohol level is quite present.
Flavours of black currant, sour cherry, cassis, liquorice, green peppercorn and mint in the long finish.
You definitely should pour this wine in a carafe to soften its astringent taste.
The kind of wine to pair with a steak.
