Barbare Ambiance 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

Points : 8/10

Price : 60 TL at Vinus wine shop.

Beautiful nose, blackberry jam, block cherry, black fruits, herbal notes, spices.

Medium bodied, chewy tannins. Very juicy.

Quite alcoholic.

Low acidity.

Herbs, spices, caramel, black fruits, slightly jammy.

Good quality for a very reasonable price.

Totally different from the 2012 vintage which was a Rhône valley style wine.

If you have exhausted the majority of Turkish Wines, may I suggest that you repeat a second tasting starting from your very first wine (to see how after time they have developed).

    Cheers! (from Lebanon)
