Sobran is a new winery based near Alaşehir in the Aegean region.

They are the first in Turkey to use Nebbiolo grape.

Red garnet colour.

On the nose, pot pourri, black tea, cherry, raspberry, leather.

Medium acidity, raw tannins, high alcohol.

On the palate, rose hip, wild strawberry, dried cranberry, blackberry, liquorice, eucalyptus.

Needs a lot of time to open itself. Not your classic Italian Nebbiolo. Interesting but not convincing.
