Öküzgözü is one of my favourite Turkish grapes and this wine produced by Kayra never disappoints me. As always in Turkey alcohol is high with 14 degrees but tannins are soft. The nose is liquorice at first with red and black berries. The colour is deep ruby. The mouth has black chocolate, plum and sweet cherry flavours. The perfect wine to go with grilled lamb and garlic. Delicious!
