Selendi Gülpembe 2016 Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Shiraz. Those four grapes are the usual suspects for a lot of « rosés de Provence ». It seems it was the goal of Selendi, to recreate this type of rosé. And it’s quite well done.
The nose is not very expressive, still, some aromas of rose and peach are perceptive. The presence of rose is not that surprising for a rosé called Gülpembe – The pink rose…
This is a fresh and round rosé wine, Provence style, with some non aggressive acidity. Flavours are really nice in the mouth : melon, red currant, apricot and honeysuckle.
The finish is quite short unfortunately.
Not a bad option among all the rosés on the Turkish market but it’s still far from the richness, the density and the finish of a Bandol from Provence.
