Sevilen late harvest muscat 2013

Points : 8,5/10

Price : 130 TL

Big respect for Sevilen with this beautiful Muscat! The exact name of the grape is « Bornova Misket » which is grown near Izmir.

The nose is fantastic with aromas of lemon, mandarine, orange blossom and honeysuckle. It’s like a perfume aroma!

This wine is rich and concentrated with a lively acidity and a delicate sweetness.

On the palate flavours of apricot jam, rose, honey and ginger.

Must be a pretty good match to foie gras of course but this time I tasted it with a Turkish cheese called Obruk Tulumu. This cheese stinks beautifully (remember, I’m French…) and is part of the blue cheese family. A perfect match! Then I had a succulent piece of apple tart made by my wife. Again a perfect match!
