Saranta winery’s premium wines, Chateau Murou, are never disappointing. They range from very enjoyable and clean to gorgeous and complex.

Their grapes, mostly international ones, are sourced from their own vineyards or from the growers around in Kirklareli region (Trakya – Oriental Thrace).

The wines from the classic serie called Saranta are kept in stainless steel while the Chateau Murou serie is aged in french oak barrels.

Now let’s taste this Syrah 2014 :

Very fruity nose with aromas of cassis, black cherry, balsamic and smoke.

Definitely fruity and spicy, medium + acidity, firm tannins, tastes of berries and liquorice.

Medium fruity finish, dark cherry and blackberry.

Very enjoyable wine, no surprise, no wow either but the quality price ratio is really good.
